Sania Mirza becomes a Pakistani girl

Pakistan’s favourite daughter in law, Sania Mirza has created a sensation the likes of which hasn’t been experienced in the region since the celebrated wedding of Imran Khan and Jemima. By choosing to marry small town cricket captain Shoaib Malik, Sania has effectively given the boot to over half a billion of her male compatriots in India. With jealousies simmering on both sides of the border – although more so on the eastern side – this relationship promises to be a explosive affair indeed.

Sania Mirza shocked millions of Indian men as she announced her decision to marry Shoaib Malik. The couple have decided to settle in Dubai afterwards, a wise decision given the now manifest tendency of the Indian establishment to play wedding spoiler, Bollywood style and all. As the public awaits with bated breath the possibility of an actual wedding – or otherwise – pent-up emotions on both sides of the border rise with each passing moment.

The site offers the opportunity to rapidly sift through thousands of webcam chatters in an effort to look for interesting people. With obvious implications for online dating, Chatroulette seems to be the next frontier in the Internet.

People often wonder why some Chatroulette girls seem so aloof and disinterested. Some Internet analysts believe that the newfound power that comes with being able to next someone instantly often seems to confer an air of pretentiousness amongst some surfers. This, and the sheer volume of Chatroulette users may lead some to attempt to rapidly traverse the website in an order to maximize entertainment in the shortest possible time period.

Pakistani girls love to cook

Pakistani girls love to cook food. Central and South Asia has traditionally had male cooks for commercial food preparation while housewives usually look after family cooking. However, in recent times have seen a blurring of the lines between commercial and home cooking. The proilferation of TV shows and popular recipe publications has caused ever greater competition among female cooks.

While cooking has been a traditionally male fare in Central Asian countries like Uzbekistan or Tajikistan, Pakistan sees its women heavily involved in culinary and gastronomical pursuits. Even Sunday meals are usually cooked by women in Pakistan, in stark contrast to the male family cooks of Central Asia.

Some of the more popoular foods cooked by Pakistani girls include Biryani, Pulao, and Roti.

Spring is here

Pakistanis around the nation are breathing a sigh of relief after the unusually cold winter that saw snow as down south as Rawalpindi. Pakistani homes lack central heating, an amenity often taken for granted in developed countries. Consequently, harsh weather can take an unusually steep toll on the destitute populace.

Pakistani girls usually have it the worst, as they are confined to their homes, huddled up in the cold evenings. Fashion also takes a back burner as the weather forces people to dress up in unsightly layers of wool. All this is set to change with the arrival of spring. Shalwar kameezes of lawn(a local sheer fabric) and cotton billowing in the wind can make for an unusually flamboyant display.

Spring sees warm weather in the subcontinent while the rest of the world is often reeling with overdrawn cold. Pakistani girls definitely have it good.

Pakistani girls are indeed fast

22 year old Naseem Hamid has given a whole new meaning to the phrase “fast girls”. Winning the womens’ 100 meter race in the South Asian Federation (SAF) games with a record, Naseem made many of her countrymen (and women) proud. As she arrived from India, Naseem was treated at Karachi airport to a rapturous welcome. Swarmed by hundreds of fans, the young sprinter appeared humbled by the extraordinarily elaborate reception.

The governor of Sindh pledged over a million rupees on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari and another 5 hundred thousand of his own. Pakistan’s sports ministry also contributed to the prize pool as Naseem appeared set to enjoy monetary rewards from multiple sources. Lawyers around the country pressed for full time employment for the athlete as did many prominent members of Pakistan’s civil society. Naseem hails from the impoverished area of Korangi in Karachi, and would now certainly be in a good position to support her family financially.
