Lawn, a popular fabric in Pakistan

Pakistani girls prefer a variety of shalwar kameez suits. Shalwar kameez is the traditional or natinal dress of Pakistan that is derived from ancient Persian and Greek garments that are loose and airy.

Pakistani shalwar kameezes are made of traditional fabrics such as lawn(made of cotton), chiffon, georgette, and thicker cotton. Lawn is especially popular in the summer as it is thin and breezy.

Lawn dresses can appear especially sensual when cut to a certain aesthetic. Pakistani girls are getting their summer dresses ready in anticipiation of the warmer weather ahead.

New Year’s Eve

Like girls all over the world, Pakistani girls love to enjoy New Years Eve. The cosmopolitan cities of Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta light up with festivities as the new year approaches (or so some would like to believe).

With great festive fervour, though in less numbers as compared to cities like London or Tokyo, Pakistani girls and boys, young and old throng to the streets to bring in the New Year. (Where exactly in the country, it is yet to be known). HOwever, what is known is that many people host new years parties at their private homes that are frequented by the glamorous and young and heart.

Enjoying the winter

Winters often evoke images of cold, snow and ice…of people huddled up indoors and a general dearth of outdoor activities. That is not the case in every country, however. Winter in Pakistan tends to be milder when compared to many temperate or higher latitude countries. To be sure, northern Pakistan can see temperatures of minus 15 degrees Celsius. But parts of central and southern Pakistan can be a blessing during the cold months. Pakistani girls and boys often like to go to warm locations in Punjab and Sindh to escape the cold.

In Urdu, warm temperatures and clear blue skies is often called “khulla” or open weather. Indeed, where winters can be cold and harsh elsewhere in the world, in parts of the Subcontinent people enjoy warm and balmy weather.

Mobile phone usage, most common activity of Pakistani girls

Mobile phone become most popular source of communication among the people of Pakistan. A study tells that in Pakistan cell phones are mostly being used by every member of the family. Even children can be seen having their personal cells. Some parents justify this issue by saying that they allow their child to keep mobile phone, so that they can stay intouch with family,     ignoring the fact that they might waste their time in chatting with friends through mobile phones. Still the benefits of the technology cannot be denied.

Girls are also enjoying this facility. Through mobile phones they can stay intouch with friends and family, and even staying at home they dont feel bored. So, the cell phone is a good companion for every Pakistani girl.
