Pakistani girls all over the country protested the imposition of emergency by Pervez Musharraf. Seen as a setback to the cause of liberty in the country, Pakistani girls’ organisations stated that the fledgling state of democracy in Pakistan has suffered a major blow. Lambasting the recent turn of events, protest organizer Shabana Butt stated that Pakistani girls throughout the length and breadth of the country would continue the struggle for democracy.

It is no secret that Pakistani girls idolize Benazir Bhutto as the harbinger of freedom and liberty in Pakistan. Today, Benazir Bhutto is the strongest she has been for years.
